Paul J. DiMaggio and Walter W. Powell's "The Iron Cage Revisited: Institutional Isomorphism and Collective Rationality in Organizational Fields" is one of the most influential and widely cited papers in Sociology, Management, and Organizational Studies. To mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of its publication, the Sociology Department will host a symposium with the authors about the paper and the research it inspired, and a mini-conference featuring new work in the tradition of institutional analysis.
