Spring 2015 Internship Application Deadline

Completed applications must be received no later than this date in order to be enrolled in Internship credits. Failure to abide by this deadline will result in non-enrollment for Spring 2015.

No retroactive internship credit will be granted. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RESTRICTION.

Junior and Senior Care, Health and Society majors in good academic standing who have sucessfully completed CHS 204 with a passing grade are eligible for the internship program.

How to Enroll in an Internship

  1. Identify and secure an internship at an approved non-profit organization, company providing health services, or a government agency. For a list of organizations that the School of Sociology has worked with previously, please contact the Care, Health and Society Internship Coordinator.
     
  2. Download and complete the internship application.
    NOTE: The internship application needs to be filled out by both the student and the supervising personnel at the internship site. The supervisor's signature is also required on the application. Students will be unable to enroll in the internship without a fully completed application.
     
  3. Meet with the Care, Health and Society Internship Coordinator by appointment or during walk-in hours to complete the enrollment process through UAccess. The fully completed internship application must be brought to the meeting.

Tuition, Fees, and Registration Deadlines

Internship credit is regular academic credit. Therefore, all regular university tuition rates, fees, and deadlines apply.
