About Darla Still
Darla is a doctoral candidate in the School of Sociology at the University of Arizona. Her research interests are broadly focused on social relationships and the study of health and mental illness. She is also interested in culture, social networks, and social psychology. Her most recent project evaluates the qualities of romantic relationships and their effects on young adult suicidality. Darla's dissertation analyzes data from Reddit.com where individuals have sought help from 2008-2017 within a specific community while being suicidal. Darla is also working on projects that examine suicidality in older Europeans and seeking online social support when feeling suicidal. She received her M.A. ('14) and B.A. ('12) in Sociology from the University of Memphis.
