Research Interests

Lorre Laws’ research and practice interests include health equity through improved health and community systems.  By addressing critical gaps between community and health systems, Lorre seeks to identify and address unmet health-related social needs.  Currently, Lorre is working with the College of Nursing in developing a community-based transitional care model for persons affected by stroke.  If successful, this model could be generalized to other underserved, high-need-high-cost populations.
