About Sione Lister

Sione Lynn Pili Lister is a first generation college student, woman of color, proud of her Polynesian roots and passionate about using academia to explore the intersections of race, ethnicity, privilege, power and identity. She earned her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Washington in 2014 and since then, has worked in student support programs at the University of Washington, taught English overseas and spent quality time with her family. She is currently interested in using mixed methods to look at how the political environment, social movement and activism shows up in the health outcomes of communities of color.

Race, ethnicity, power, privilege, identity, medical sociology, political involvement, social movements.
