Pauline Przywara
Ph.D. Student
Pauline is a Ph.D. student in Sociology whose research examines the intersections of gender, reproduction, and family. Her research focuses on individual agency and empowerment in reproduction as it is impacted by socialized gendered experiences. She investigates family planning and contraceptive use within the context of intimate relationships, exploring how upbringing and interpersonal dynamics shape reproductive decision-making. Her previous research examined how heteronormative gender norms impact queer intimate relationships and subsequent gender performance.
Pauline earned bachelor's degrees in Sociology and English from Fordham University in New York, where she graduated with honors from the Sociology department.
