Advocacy, Serving those with disabilities
Description
We are a nonprofit operated by and for people with diverse disabilities, providing advocacy, skills training, peer support, benefits counseling, home modifications, orientation and mobility training, Braille training, etc. (We were formerly known as Direct Center for Independence and recently rebranded and are doing business as Direct Advocacy & Resource Center).
- This is an unpaid internship.
- All internships are in person or virtual with flexible hours.
- Sometimes formal internships are not available, but Volunteer opportunities might be, and these could give the applicant exposure to hospice as a whole, while also presenting job-shadowing opportunities. Volunteer positions require a one-year commitment.
- There may be opportunities for employment following the internship.
