UA Sociology Doctoral Candidates Receive NSF Grants

Two UA graduate students have received NSF Doctoral Dissertation Improvement Grants:

Jessie K. Finch, with faculty advisor Robin Stryker, PI, for “Legal Borders, Racial/Ethnic Boundaries: Operation Streamline and Identity Processes on the US-Mexico Border"

and

Sosuke Okada, under direction of Joseph Galaskiewicz, PI, for the project “Testing the Intrinsic Benefit Model of Cultural Signaling.”
